Megève gets into the festive mood from the moment the winter season starts, marked by the traditional Fir Tree Lighting festival. The evening has a few holiday traditions, one of which is to hold your breath during the countdown until the tree is sparking with 1,000 lights. And every year, Megève hosts a magical Christmas parade, where Santa will make his way through the village, and hand out some presents to the children waiting.  And what is Christmas without reindeer - you can pet these cute and cuddly animals at the nearby farm, with Christmas treats along the way.
