Unique in the world for its environment, the iconic ESF Swiss Open Gstaad draws in visitors from around the world, whilst the international Polo Gold Cup sees some of the top-ranking players compete for world-ranking points.
Music lovers will not want to miss the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy, which takes place from July to September. And Swatch Beach Pro sees the alpine setting host a volleyball tournament. One of the most traditional events is The Züglete in September. Decorated with flowers and bells, the local farmers bring their herds of cattle down into the valley and move through the village with them.
